Thread: Voting: SOTW May 14 - 20 (famous paintings)

I had to vote on Abu Dhabi as it was based on an Australian artist, and myself too being Australia. I remember as a kid going on a tour throughout the Kakadu (central Australia) and seeing all this Aboriginal artwork drawn on the caves.

Nice work everyone else. Famous paintings was a nice theme to go with.

Gwenibe won my vote once more.

Her signature intrigues me. I love the artwork, and I love how the different styles of text go along well with the theme of the signature itself. It's freaky and interesting at the same time, and that's always a good thing in my book.

I voted for Abu Dhabi and basically for the same reason as Dragonball. Being an Australian myself, I felt stupid not thinking of doing something like that ^^ it was a great idea.

my vote had to go to Abu Dhabi, i thought the painting selection was quite unique from the rest of the submissions. plus i'm a bit bias when i see an australian painting and an aboriginal one at that. i would of really loved to see more of the aboriginal painting, especially the one with the delicately placed dots. really like those paintings.

but i definitely have to give credit to demon spawn. i love his text with the painting he choose (i also like starry night), it flows in harmony with the painting's curves and the painting flow itself.
