fooligar gets my vote, no question about it. It depicts the theme really well and its obviously has a lot of work into it.

Following fooligar is Pyro's entry. It also depicts the theme rather well and I like the animation put into it. Spin Da Ish's entry is simple yet nice as well.

Everyone else's entries were good too but personally I thought that they didnt fit the theme too well. Sure, Sonic is old but the pics being used are the recent high quality CG ones, the theme was RETRO!! I wanted to see some pixels!! Xelhes' entry was real nice with its awesome BG and effects but again, I dont think that Megaman Zero is really "retro". ^^;

Fooligar all the way. I loved Super Punchout. Best boxing game on the SNES, but the best boxing game ever would have to be Evander Holyfields Real Deal boxing...

Fooligar got my vote, i absolutly loved Super Punch-out, best fighting game for NES hands down XD.
It also had a oldschool kick ass layout.

second was Pyro's, i loved the oldschool aspect and everything about it, i also like the mario position and colors. lol. but i guess it boiled down to choice of game

and in third(second because the first two tied) :P., i also love Zero, All the megaman,megaman X,Zero etc, was a era of gaming WIN. Sweet text and colors, it really blends and somehow looks bio'ish. props to Xel

Zyta's makes me laugh, when i saw Ecco was releashed for the Sega, my first reaction was "holy crap, worst game concept ever!" lol still its all nostalgic

Nice going everyone for the awesome game sigs, it was fun to watch the interesting choices pop up. i actually hope we can do this again next time.

Ugh...I dont mean to sound like a sore looser but...has anyone noticed that Fooligar has been winnin ALLL the SOTW's lately. Its very frustrating that i put all that work into my sig. took me hours and i dont even get half the votes...*sigh* this is the exact reason why i stopped participating in the SOTW here at Anime online in the first place

Well then prehaps Xelhes, you'll just have to try harder. Your not going to get all the votes all the time, and besides the whole point of competing should be too have fun (considering there have never been any prizes), not just to get votes.

Embrace the competition man, it's awesome, this has forced me to step up a little in my skills for next SOTW and I love it. I also hate it because it's getting so much harder to vote XD

any who, I voted for Pryo. It was tough between fooligar, Zyta and Pryo but in the end I chose pyro because of the colour and groovey text and animation.

Great work everyone though, competition starting to get tough ^_^

Xehles, your work is good and I'm sure it takes a lot of skill to do what you do. But you also need to consider what the voters or general audience want. I voted for zyta in this one. The reason I rarely vote for yours is that they always look too busy.

I think you look at the comments and try to gauge what other's want to see. I much prefer a simple and clean sig over a busy one any day. Skill is one thing, but to deliver what other's want to see is another.

A motto I like in life is the K.I.S.S. principle. (Keep It Simple Stupid).
