![]() ![]() Credits: 15,160 | Anime of the Month (Nov. 2006) November 2006 Anime of the Month is: Generator Gawl: Human Heart, Metal Soul (Vol. 1) ![]() Volume 1 of 4 (12 episodes) Director: Seiji Mizushima Series Creators: Hidefumi Kimura, Fumihiko Shimo Distributed by: ADV Films Japanese Release: 1998 US Release: 2000 Synopsis: Three boys- Koji, Ryo, and Gawl- are on a mission: save mankind by preventing the creation of the Generators, genetically enhanced beings used in a war that obliterated most of the human population. They travel back in time, but unfortunately land a bit later than expected, and only have three months to keep the events in their time from happening. Available @ Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more official price is $26.98, but other sellers have it as low as $1.99 Welcome to The Right Stuf International, YOUR Anime Superstore and Web Resource at the time of this posting, $6.99 ADV Web Update $19.98 Don’t be turned off by the fact that this is just the first volume of four; none of them are even close to expensive. This is a great mecha/comedy with plenty of tense dramatic moments. The animation is somewhat old school, but the voice acting is great (especially Gawl), and the story keeps up a quick pace. This volume might leave you a little bit confused, but you’ll definitely want to see it through to the end. Last edited by gren; Nov 12, 2006 at 03:13 AM. |

I'm thinking a quiz would be in order, probably around mid-December (just so everyone who wants to participate has enough time), but other than bragging rights, I don't know what the prize should be. |
