Thread: Avatar Help!

Here is what i do basicaly if u want it to match you signature.
Just crop your sig where u want the avatar to show and then just change the image size to whatever the limits are for example 100x100 for this site and edit it as you want i hope that helps thats what i do and i just move my text into the avatar I.E. my sig and avatar i used this technique.

lol this is what I do

1) make new file any avatar size you prefer
2) open your sig >>> image size it to something smaller, or leave it the way it is
3) drag your sig into your avatar file
4) save it as a .png and hope it meets the avatar req. if it doesn't then save it as .gif

lol yes that is what i do for when i want one matching my sig, but i was looking for help on a stand lone Avi. nothing else involed.. sorry if i wasn't clear >-<

stand alone...what do u mean like a avi from scratch or what.

Joing the crew lol!! I have the same difficulty when making stand-alone avi's ( you can see some of my attempts in the lastest work thread -_-)

I say this to most people, but for me I just went in head first and
experimented to see what looked good and what didn't.

probably not a good thing, but I got alot of inspiration looking at other peoples avatars and what looked good on them..
I don't know if there are any in photoshop. But Gimp had alot of neat brushes that can be used as borders for icons/avatars..

hope something of that helped..but I thought I would give it a try..:S
