Yeah, otherwise it'll say something along the lines of "Access is not permitted for your usergroup.", because you must be a Com. (Community) Member, which requires being registered for at least a month, and having made at least 100 posts in the forums (in sections that posts count towards your post count).

Introductions is just one of the places posts don't add to your post count. But still it is nice to greet new members now and then anyways, and to introduce yourself there, of course.
