Oh, well I am not going to argue that because I have no deep knowledge in this area. ROFL actually taking out someone's heart is quite easy...just a precise and hard punch can do such job. Hmm...for some reason...my legs are very powerful so these techniques are good for me. But, technically since all of Tae Kwon Do techniques are based off from physics...not having leftover brute strength shouldn't be a problem. It's just a matter of applying the technique correctly...and even so over time if you practice right. Your body will eventually strengthen and become faster.
LOL I never had to do a actual fight...but there were incidents where my training had become my sub conciouness...and before I knew it my body was already doing kicks and etc. The first time that happened without me knowing...was kinda scary for both me and a friend XD.
Yeahp, I prefer it in a self defense situation to strike where it causes more damage. I am not the type of fighter who likes to do multiple attacks before finishing off someone. I like to be bam one strike and their done...mostly because my stamina can't hold out for too long and it isn't safe either. But, if it's in like a class sparring match...I usually go for stomach, shoulders and depending on who it is the head. LOL but...I have kicked some of my guy friends right where it hurts XD. They dropped to the floor...quite amusing to watch XDDD
Hahaha. You would THINK that it is just some Naruto bull huh? I thought so too but found his style very interesting. I looked it up to see what I can find and it actually is based on a ninjutsu. I don't recall the japanese name for it though. However, it doesn't do that weird chakra thing like in the show, it actually targets the several weak spots on the body such as the throat, solar plex and even one's heart. There is even a move that takes only 3 out of 6 spots to hit in order to stop someone's heart........never tried it but nice to know. Tae Kwon Do is a very good fighting style too. I thought about using it but I am not very strong so straight forward never worked for me (believe me, I tried). And as for the stupid little tricks in martial arts, I agree. Doing weird stunts while defending yourself is not the brightest idea. Luckily, all you need to do is find the weak parts of the body and strike with speed. I have actually taken down my friend who had about 200 lbs. on me and was about 5 times my strength. Very usefull for a bigger opponent. Though, I am sure your style works just as well. You target the groin?! Damn. I know I would drop in a heart beat.
Well actually the black belt means nothing...it just tells how long you've been doing the sport. LOL, erm I train under Traditional Tae Kwon Do which comes from the Korean military. So there's nothing of these fancy names...but usually my favorite techniques are the ones which deliver the most power but with straight forwardness. Because really in self defense situation, your not going to think of a fancy move and most likely your not going to be able to pull it off either. Therefore all of these complicated techniques are none of the less for show only. And my targets are usually the groin, head, knees, and of course your stomach area. Here are some videos that show my some of my favorite techniques. Btw don't confuse martial arts...what your thinking is Ninjutsu...Tae Kwon Do is a Korean art while in the other hand Ninjutsu is Japanese. By the way the Water Dragon thingy...erm that just looks like a bunch of Naruto fan video type of thing and not real martial arts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYIAlJvbMDg <- this is my absolute favorite, straight forward but saturated with raw power if done right.
These are also my favorites, but I tend to use less. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86dv3pQPVzM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4ZE9...om=PL&index=75
Here is a video that will give you a brief but accurate background info on Tae Kwon Do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VALLA...eature=related
Holy crap girl! I better not make you mad huh? Of course, I sparred with a "black belt" before and kicked his ass but I am sure your a lot better. So is there a favorite stance you use or is there just one for tei kwan doe? I use the "Water Dragon" technique. I favored it when I saw it on an anime show, Naruto. I thought it was fake but I looked it up and was able to study it. It's used to attack pressure points in the body with an open palm or three fingers at fast speeds.
Ahaha yeahp...I've been doing for around 6 to 7 years. And at the end of this year I will be testing for my 3 degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Ah. Life not going your way then huh? Sorry to hear that. I am sure it'll all turn around eventually. Anyways, let's go onto a happier topic shall we? You like martial arts huh? That's cool. I am not very serious about it but I do study a little. How long have you been doing that for? Couple years?
Irritated...school hasn't been helping neither has my job.
