Hayao Miyazaki Spirited Away

I don't really have to tell you, but I love all of the Miyazaki films, so be prepared for a Miyazaki review, lol.

Plot

The story starts off with a little girl, named Chihiro with her parents on their way to a new home. On the way, the three of them stumble into an abandoned theme park. It suddenly turns dark outside and Chihiro's parents are turned into pigs after eating some food that was left out. The next thing she knows, she is being forced to work in a resort for the gods and spirits. Humans aren't usually welcomed, but with the help of a spirit named Haku, she is able to remain. She works to find a cure for her parents as well as help Haku remember his name in order to free him from his imprisonment, as well as herself.

Audio and Visuals

This anime movie is stunning. It is high quality and the characters look really good compared to some of Miyazaki's older movies.

The audio is also stunning. My favorite track was the ending theme titled "Always with Me." Plenty of good background music is thrown in during the action sequences to help add excitement.

Story and Characters

The story is another great one. It is full of fantasy and supernatural plots to help satisfy your fanatic craving. They also throw in a little comedy and romance, which helps make the movie flow well. It helps to take a step away from the drama and fantasy and gives a sense of realism, but not too much.

The characters are well developed. You learn more about Chihiro's personality, which turns out to be great. Also, the conflicts between characters, such as Haku, are a great addition to the plot.

Final Thoughts

Oh, I told you I love it right, lol. A great story with above average graphics and sounds make it a definite buy in my book. If you love previous Miyazaki movies, then this one won't disappoint you.
