A cops son and 7 others (all 7 people that his father put in prison) are trapped inside a house. Put there by the famous Jigsaw killer. When everyone wakes up in an abandoned house they are curious to what is going on and where they are. One of the members named Amanda has already played his game before so she knows the rules and tries to keep everyone alive. She searches for the tape that starts the whole game and tells them they only have 2 hours to live.
The acting abilities on Saw II was horrible. Maybe if the actors had put a little bit more into their character then it would have been better. The whole double identity thing was off balance. Detective Matthews did however play the angry father perfectly in the situation he was in.
The entertainment value on this movie was a little bit under what I myself would have liked. I would rate it a 5 because it was complicated to understand at times.
Sound and Digital / Special Effects
The effects were not that great in the way the movie was played out. There were barely any sounds - just the characters talking. The digital effects I would give it a 2/5.
Twist and Flow of Story
This movie was choppy - one moment it was here telling about this, then the next it was telling about a different part.
The ending was not that great.
Through all this blood and gore, Saw II was entertaining. What amazes me is how they used the same house for Saw II as they did for Saw I. Yet you did not know this due to the fact they only used the bathroom to shoot the first one and not upstairs like they did in the second on.
I would recommend this movie to someone who likes blood and gore.
