Storyline

The Day After Tomorrow has an okay storyline, not quite as cliché as others in its genre but still a little bit lacking.

Plot

Apparently, all the glacial waters have receded into the salty ocean waters and broken the north Atlantic current thus disrupting the balance of nature all across the world. Terribly adverse weather conditions pop up in places they shouldn’t, and the warning wasn’t issued early enough to save many lives.

Small scatterings of people manage to find safe hiding, some don’t. But a terrible snow storm weeps through the world, freezing everything in its path.

In the end however, humanity pulls through and the race it saved again from extinction.

Audio

Not bad, I say. The movie has great sounds.

The little noises made by anything are very nice, and the more important sounds are nice and clear. The music, oh, it’s good too. Some very active pieces, but also pieces that are staggeringly solemn.

While it’s not its best suit, the movie does good in this category.

Visuals

Wow! The Day After Tomorrow is stunning in almost every visual aspect but still not without its flaws.

Everything is so carefully made, the computer-made parts of the movie I mean. The boats floating about, especially the one that is boarded, is amazing. The wolves, while not looking quite real, still look impressive.

All the storms look so breathtaking in their anger, almost like being in one yourself but not feeling the sensations moving around you.

Overall

This movie has lots of replay value, and more stuff too. It’s fun to watch and makes you think about life. What if all this stuff happened? It’s cool, sitting there and being profound in your head after this movie, just thinking about it.
